2018 Minneapolis Innovation Awards

The National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA) and Boating Writers International (BWI) announced the winners of the 2018 Minneapolis Innovation Awards. The Minneapolis Innovation Awards recognizes groundbreaking new consumer marine products, presented opening night of the Minneapolis Boat Show in the Lakeshore Lifestyle Experience exhibit.  The awards honor manufacturers and suppliers who bring new, innovative products to the boating industry to market. 2018 Ford Mustang Shelby Super Snake Concept

Shelby debuted the all new, Tangent designed and developed, GT500 Super Snake Wide-body Mustang at SEMA this week. Located in Las Vegas, the SEMA show is considered the premier automotive specialty products trade event in the world. Compared to a regular Mustang, the new Shelby Super Snake Concept has been fitted with an out-of-this-world bodykit that makes it 4 inches wider at the rear and 2.5 inches wider at the front. To complement the flared arch design, the muscle car also includes an overhauled front fascia with a new double splitter, a custom hood and tweaked air intakes. The styling modifications don’t stop there. The wide-body concept also includes fat wheels and tires, bespoke rocket panels and a lip spoiler at the rear. 2018 Avalon Excalibur Debut

Tangent once again teamed up with Avalon/Tahoe to design the 2018 Excalibur. The Excalibur is Avalon's newest model and flagship of their Master series pontoon boats which feature trendsetting designs, luxurious furnishings, top of the line luxury and performance. Ask This Old House

Ask This Old House is a television show which solves the steady stream of home improvement problems faced by homeowners. This week's Ask This Old House featured an installation of Aquascape's water feature that collects and reuses rainwater designed by Tangent. https://www.thisoldhouse.com/watch/ask-toh-backsplash-rainwater-feature Where to find it? The water feature that Jenn installed includes the rubber liner, underlayment, structural blocks, pump vault, basalt columns, and pump. Society Of Plastics Engineers Gold Award

The Society of Plastics Engineers (SPE) The Society of Plastics Engineers (SPE) is an international organization dedicated to the advancement of knowledge and education for all plastics professionals. Recently they announced the winners of the SPE Thermoforming Division annual parts competition. The awards were presented during the Thermoforming Division’s annual conference, held last month in Schaumburg, IL. They were presented in twenty categories as well as in a student parts competition.  Tangent worked with Medallion to design the parts for the American Coach Eagle dash and was awarded a gold medal by the SPE.
