Last week, we visited the Harold Washington library's "maker space" to see the pop-up fabrication lab. The computer lab is stocked with computers loaded up with open source design software and desktop fabrication equipment. The lab offers classes, helpful staff, and a material library of plastics and woods stocked by <a href="https://www.inventables.com/">Inventables</a>. The innovation lab offers creatives a great and affordable resource for fabricating and testing new product ideas. We encourage locals to use these resources while they are available!...

The Frameri eyewear design competition finally came to a close today. The Grand prize was awarded to Tangent's "The Gentlemen" concept and the celebrity judges panel prize was awarded to Tangent's "Gotti" concept!
