Tangent recently partnered with iconic performance manufacturer Shelby American and new sub-brand Shelby Performance, to design & develop the 2026 Shelby F-250 Super Baja, the first offering in a re-tooled line of Shelby performance trucks. Tangent’s responsibilities included the design and development of numerous proprietary parts, including an injection molded grille with accents, a new hood with vents and a center extractor, a new custom fender vent, and new body color wheel flares.
Inspired by Shelby’s rich racing and performance heritage, as well as previous collaborations between Tangent and Shelby, Tangent worked with the Shelby team to push this latest iteration of the F-250 Super Baja to new functional and styling heights.

Working for the second time on Ford’s F-250 chassis, it was Tangent and Shelby’s intention to top the previous model with an even bolder reimagining of the Super Baja’s design language. Starting with the Super Duty’s complex grille architecture, Tangent looked to improve on the previous grille design by adding body color elements to the grille’s base injection molded structure, incorporating muti-piece body color accents and stripe matching Shelby lettering in the center.
With a bigger and bolder grille design, Tangent developed new, larger scale interpretation of the classic Shelby hex pattern, designed to fit the scale of Ford’s largest truck offering.
A new functional air induction hood, with painted extraction vents, and a new fender vent, with body color matching accents, round out the Super Baja’s updated exterior design.
