Tangent and frequent collaborator Avalon Pontoons recently partnered up to create Avalon’s striking new foray into the fish boat segment: The Avalon Geofish.
Eschewing traditional pontoon styling, Tangent worked with Avalon to create a wholly unique layout and aesthetic framework for this function focused boat.
Roto to the Core.
The Geofish’s rotationally molded bow pods are the standout on a boat that’s all business. Combining high style, and built in color that doesn’t fade, the bow pods supply storage features and dock lighting elements, while capping the Geofish’s traditional aluminum side walls.
In addition to roto pods on the bow and stern, Tangent utilized the roto molding process for the Geofish’s unique center mounted helm, adding a built-in level of durability and function to the do-everything center counsel.
Center of Everything.
Tangent worked with Avalon to develop a furniture layout that would allow anglers to fish from any side of the boat by creating a user focused center mounted helm and storage counsel. This centrally located helm allows for better 360 visibility and creates walkways on either side of the Geofish that aid water access.
Graphic Touch.
In addition to Tangent’s 2D & 3D development responsibilities, the Tangent team worked closely with Avalon and suppliers to develop a color study & graphic identity for the Geofish’s exterior, aiming to convey additional depth and visual interest to the Geofish side walls and corner pods.
