Tangent recently partnered with Grand Design RV, a subsidiary of Winnebago Industries, to design and develop Grand Design’s first foray into the motorized market: The Lineage Series M. Built on the luxurious Mercedes Sprinter Platform, the Lineage Series M blends timeless styling, with modern graphics and clean exterior surfaces that are already winning industry awards.
Tangent’s 20+ years of industry experience was exactly what Grand Design was looking for when it came to expanding into the motorized segment. Working with Grand Design’s engineering and marketing team, Tangent looked to create a new motorized line of Class-C RV’s that would take the industry by storm (spoiler alert, it did).
Working closely with Grand Design’s development team, Tangent began sketching 2D concepts that would present a clean, timeless exterior design, which would eschew traditional RV graphics for a more contemporary look that incorporates linear elements or, at times, no graphics at all. After selecting a 2D theme, Tangent worked with data provided by Grand Design, to develop 3D surfaces in Autodesk Alias, a class A surfacing software.
Close collaboration with Grand Design’s suppliers ensured that Tangent met the tooling specs and molding criteria for each of the Lineage Series fiberglass and thermoform parts, including a front cap, transition panels, step, and rear cap.
The Class leading Lineage Series M is already racking up awards, including RV Business’ 2026 Top Innovation award, RV Business Top 10 RV of 2025, and RV Pro Best New Model of 2025. The Grand Design Lineage Series M is on sale now via Grand Design affiliate dealers.
