SHELBY F150

2021 SHELBY F-150 An Elevated Experience. Tangent together with iconic performance manufacturer Shelby and Elkhart based premium truck up-fitter Tuscany Motor Co., teamed up to design & develop the 2021 Shelby F-150, Shelby’s latest foray into the performance truck market. Tangent’s responsibilities included the design and development of numerous proprietary parts, including an injection molded grille, fender vent, new front bumper, a steel hood with vent inserts and a new tonneau cover, just to name a few.Tangent began the development process with a combination of 2D sketching, and VRED based underlays of the new Ford F-150, to ensure that every sketched detail and component would accurately reflect its real-life counterpart.Inspired by Shelby’s rich racing and performance heritage, as well as previous collaborations between Tangent and Shelby, Tangent set about designing a new Shelby F-150 that would stand out in an increasingly crowded performance truck market. VERANDA V-ONE

Veranda V-One A Fiberglass First. Tangent recently partnered with Veranda Marine, a market leader in pontoon manufacturing, to design and develop the 2021 Veranda V-One, Veranda’s first foray into the fiberglass pontoon market. Starting from the ground up, Tangent set about designing a fiberglass pontoon that would reflect the needs of a contemporary pontoon boat customer, incorporating aggressive details, custom accent lights and plentiful amounts of storage space and utility into the boat’s bespoke fiberglass body. Tangent’s responsibilities included designing and developing everything from the boat’s exterior fiberglass styling, interior seating and storage, as well as its aggressive, sports car inspired helm.Beginning with blue sky 2D ideation sketches, Tangent worked with packaging constraints and design feedback provided by Veranda to create a fiberglass pontoon that would be a market leader in design and experience. HARRIS BOATS SOLSTICE HELM

Harris Solstice Helm Feature Heavy. Harris Pontoon, a leading manufacturer of recreational pontoon boats, partnered up with Tangent to design and develop the new Solstice Helm, giving Harris’ volume selling pontoon series a design and feature heavy helm for 2020.Beginning with 2D ideation sketches, Tangent produced multiple concepts that incorporated the desired helm features including an openable helm top, and storage space within the helm’s instrument panel. Tangent worked to incorporate numerous automotive styling features into the helm’s design, including an integrated bezel, multiple Simrad screen sizes, a leather wrapped brow, and billet trim accents.After creating 2D sketches, Tangent began modeling the helm in Alias, a 3D CAD software, that allows Tangent to build production ready parts for clients and their suppliers. CORTECH CREW CHAIR

Cortech Endurance Crew Chair Comfort meats functionality. Cortech USA, a leading manufacture of behavioral health and correctional furniture partnered with Tangent to help develop the all new Endurance Crew chair.Working from Cortech’s designs, Tangent set about developing a chair in 3D CAD software that would meet Cortech’s rigorous standards for safety, strength and durability.Tangent’s knowledge of rotational molding manufacturing techniques ensured that the chair would be both more durable than steel as well as flame retardant. The chair’s “no break” polyethylene material allows for a multitude of color options and creates a surface that is easy to clean and maintain in any correctional environment.Tangent also contributed marketing materials for the Endurance Crew chair, by creating photo real renderings of both chairs in Autodesk VRED, a high tech visualization software....

HARLEY DAVIDSON FORD F250

HARLEY DAVIDSON x TUSCANY MOTOR CO. Bigger and bolder. Tangent together with iconic motorcycle manufacturer Harley Davidson and Elkhart based premium truck up-fitter Tuscany Motor Co., teamed up to develop the 2020 Harley Davidson F-250, the third collaboration between Tangent, Tuscany, and Harley to date. Tangent’s responsibilities included the design and development of over 60 proprietary parts, as well the creation of marketing material, and project coordination between Harley and Tuscany Motor Co.Inspired by Harley’s rich heritage, as well as the 2019 HD F-150, Tangent was tasked with the development of a multitude of custom parts, meant to set the 2020 HD F-250 apart from the pack. CHEVROLET TRAVERSE

Chevy Traverse Adding the “Utility” to Sport Utility. BraunAbility, a leading manufacturer of wheelchair accessible vehicles, once again teamed up with Tangent, to design and develop Braun’s latest foray into the wheel chair accessible SUV market, with the 2020 Chevy Traverse.The Winamac, Indiana based mobility company tasked Tangent with developing the interior and exterior modifications that transform the stock Chevy Traverse into a capable wheelchair accessible SUV. These modifications included exterior body panels and side trim, which add additional style and functionality to the modified Traverse exterior, allowing for increased aerodynamics and greater ease of use for all occupants. JAYCO TERRAIN

Jayco Terrain B Class, A Style. [qodef_separator type="full-width" border_style="dotted" thickness="2"] Tangent partnered with Elkhart based RV manufacturer Jayco to design, develop and model interior parts for Jayco’s latest foray into the world of Class B camper vans. Riding on a lifted Mercedes Sprinter van chassis, the Terrain, an off-road capable camper van features a more rugged and durable interior, designed to withstand the active outdoor lifestyle of its users. [qodef_separator type="full-width" border_style="dotted" thickness="2"]Tangent was tasked with developing a host of interior panels for the Terrain’s cabin, including window, door, and side panels featuring built in storage compartments, as well the Terrain’s compact, multi-function shower / latrine station. Premier Marine Pinnacle Helm Top of the line. Premier Marine, a leading manufacturer of recreational pontoon boats, partnered up with Tangent to design and develop the Pinnacle Helm, Premier’s top of the line marine helm.Beginning with a rigorous 2D process, Tangent produced multiple concepts and refinements before choosing a 2D theme that represented the client’s vision for a top-tier helm. Tangent worked to incorporate numerous automotive style features into the helm’s design, including a 12-inch Simrad display, wireless charging, and leather wrapped storage spaces with LED accent lighting. HARLEY DAVIDSON x TUSCANY MOTOR CO. Harley expands its footprint. With Harley-Davidson having severed official ties with Ford after years of exclusively licensing the Harley name, Harley, in partnership with Tuscany Motor Co., have expanded their brand of officially licensed HD products to the General Motors truck family, namely the top of the line GMC Sierra.Tangent once again teamed up with Elkhart truck outfitter Tuscany Motor Co. and Milwaukee based motorcycle builder Harley-Davidson to design, and develop HD’s latest foray into the land of four wheels. The 2020 HD Sierra contains more than 65 custom changes over the standard Sierra. Amara by G3 Boats Taking Fiberglass to the Next Level Tangent and G3 Boats (Yamaha) teamed up to design and develop the all-new for 2020 Amara fiberglass pontoon boat. Tangent was tasked with the development of both the interior and exterior of the Amara pontoon, from 2D concept sketches all the way to finished mold ready 3D parts.
